Tharakarama Nagar Waterline

HEAL covered the cost of the new materials and hook-up fees for the waterline, which came to 1700 Rupees ($40), and villagers paid for the digging and installation. HEAL’s manager in Bapatla, Anil Dat, had been planning this project for two months with government and village authorities in the area. After this project, the authorities have approached Anil with requests for help to plan and carry out other community improvement projects, including rebuilding two schools, and HEAL is organizing its resources to make this possible.
